Terms & Conditions for Submissions

Welcome to the submission portal for the International Society of Mythology, LLC's, Mythologium 2024. By submitting your proposal abstracts for our conference tracks, Myth Flix, or art gallery, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Disclosure of AI-Generated Content: If your submission includes content generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI), you must disclose this and provide the specific prompts used in its creation. The International Society of Mythology, LLC. (ISM) requires transparency in the use of AI to maintain the integrity of the conference contributions.

  2. Multiple Submissions: Participants may submit proposals to more than one type of presentation and/or multiple areas. Each proposal will be considered independently on its merits.

  3. Originality and Copyright: All submissions must be your original work and free of any copyright infringements. ISM, LLC. is not responsible for any copyright violations associated with your submission.

  4. Prohibited Content: Submissions must not contain hate speech, offensive imagery, or any content that could be considered discriminatory or harmful. ISM, LLC. reserves the right to reject any proposal deemed inappropriate.

  5. Rights and Permissions: By submitting a proposal, you grant ISM, LLC.a non-exclusive license to use, publish, and distribute your submission in relation to Mythologium 2024, including future publications and promotional materials connected to the event.

  6. No Guarantee of Acceptance: Submission of a proposal does not guarantee acceptance. Decisions on acceptance are final and based on the relevance and quality of the submission as assessed by the review committee.

  7. Registration Requirement: All presenters whose proposals are accepted must register for the conference at the discounted presenter rate. Registration must be completed prior to the event to confirm participation.

  8. Consequences of Non-Presentation: Presenters who fail to appear and present at the scheduled time without prior notification may be excluded from inclusion in future conference proceedings and may impact their eligibility for future ISM, LLC. events.

  9. Publication of Information: Should your proposal be accepted, ISM, LLC. reserves the right to publish the title of your proposal, your name, and affiliated organization on the Mythologium website and related conference materials.

  10. Intellectual Property Rights: By submitting a proposal, participants affirm that they are the sole authors and hold all necessary rights to the content of their submissions. While intellectual property rights remain with the author, by submitting a proposal, you grant the International Society of Mythology, LLC. (ISM) a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display the content in relation to Mythologium 2024, including but not limited to promotional materials and future publications.

  11. Data Privacy: ISM, LLC. is committed to protecting your privacy. The personal data collected during the submission process is securely stored on the Wix platform, which follows stringent security practices including regular audits and secure coding. Data is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS, TLS 1.2+) during transmission to prevent unauthorized access. We also offer enhanced security features for account protection, such as two-factor authentication and secure login protocols. ISM, LLC. continually updates its practices to address emerging security threats.

  12. Amendments to Proposals: Participants may be requested to amend their proposals based on feedback from the review committee. All amendments should be submitted within the specified deadline provided at the time of feedback. Failure to submit required amendments may result in the proposal being rejected.

  13. Cancellation Policy: Participants may cancel their submission and receive a 50% refund of the registration fee if the cancellation is made at least one week prior to the start of Mythologium 2024. Cancellations made within seven days of the event will not be eligible for a refund.

  14. Limitation of Liability: ISM, LLC. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the services or for cost of procurement of substitute services. This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction.

  15. Ethical Standards and Conduct Policy: All participants are expected to uphold high ethical standards and conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. This includes abstaining from any form of hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on age, caste, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, race, immigration status, religion, sex/gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other characteristic. ISM, LLC. does not tolerate the use of mythology to promote violence, oppression, or hate against individuals or groups. Any violation of these standards may result in removal from the conference without refund.

  16. Technology and Media: If your presentation involves specific technological needs or includes media components, you are responsible for ensuring compatibility with the conference facilities. ISM, LLC. will provide basic support and infrastructure but cannot guarantee the suitability of all technologies.
