Panel:
Fates and Graces Myth Lit Webinars
Reading and writing are vital to working in the field of mythological studies. But it’s all too easy for these necessary nutrients to fall off the to-do list. The Fates and Graces team started Myth Lit webinars to celebrate the field of mythological literature and elevate books back to the top of the list where they belong. Join Stephanie Zajchowski and Joanna Gardner from the Fates and Graces for this one-hour conversation with a pantheon of mythic authors—Jody Bower, Dennis Slattery, Patrick Mahaffey, and Arthur George—to discuss their books and their creative process.
2
Panel:
Mythic Careers and Marketing for Mythologists
“What are you going to do with that degree?”
Unlike some fields, mythology has no one career path to follow. So the challenge and the opportunity is to create a career suited to you and your unique interests and skills. Then, you’ll quite likely need to market yourself and your work to a wider audience. Basic marketing skills can help people find you, the way the animals and trees found Orpheus. Join the Fates and Graces for this session about the fundamentals of career architecture for mythologists as well as key marketing tips and tricks. We’ll have time for Q&A, so bring your questions!
