Bio: Michael Bazzett is a poet, teacher, and translator. He's the author of four poetry collections, including The Echo Chamber (Milkweed Editions, 2021), which features a retelling of the myth of Echo & Narcissus. His poetry has recently appeared in Granta, Poetry Review, The London Magazine, The Nation, and The Paris Review. His verse translation of the Mayan creation epic, The Popol Vuh, (Milkweed, 2018) was named one of 2018’s best books of poetry by the NY Times and longlisted for the National Translation Award from ALTA. The recipient of an NEA Fellowship, he lives in Minneapolis.
