About this event
Come meet and mingle with fellow mythologists in a rousing night led by doctoral candidate Charlotte Moroz. Charlotte will lead us on a journey of music and myth. “The gifts of listening in paperless singing: discovering mythic archetypes and narrative arcs in oral tradition music”
Charlotte brings practices of paperless music and community learning to explore the interplay of listening and mythic themes, archetypes, and narrative arcs within music, the practice of sharing music communally and intertwined traditions of welcome, hospitality, and mitigation and integration of “otherness” in spaces of communal singing. Come listen, sing along (in a low-pressure Zoom environment!), and experience mythic resonance in music and musical resonance in myth within ourselves and our communities!
